This page explains what personal information I collect on sachingopal.com, why I collect it, and what you can do about it.

This website is run by me, Sachin Gopal, an individual based in Bengaluru, India. I am not a registered company. When this page says “I”, “me” or “my”, it means me, Sachin Gopal.

What I collect

When you book a session. Bookings happen through Calendly. Calendly collects your name, email, the time you pick, and any answers you type in the booking form. I get a copy of these details.

When you message me. If you use the contact form on this site, I get your name, email, phone number (if you give it) and your message. If you chat with me on WhatsApp, I see your WhatsApp name, number and messages.

During a session. Sessions happen over an audio or video call (Zoom or WhatsApp). You may tell me personal things, including about your health, your emotions or your life. I keep this private. I do not share it with anyone.

Session recordings. I ask you before I record a session. You can say no, and the session goes ahead without a recording. If you say yes, the session is recorded using Zoom cloud recording. Zoom, a US company, stores it. I send you a link to the recording after the session. Recordings are deleted automatically within about a month. You can ask me to delete yours sooner.

When you pay. Payments are handled by Razorpay. Your card, UPI, net banking or wallet details go directly to Razorpay. I never see them and I never store them. Razorpay only tells me that a payment was made, the amount, the date, a payment ID, and your name, email and phone number.

When you visit the site. Like most websites, this site uses cookies (small files saved in your browser) and similar tools. They collect things like your IP address (your internet address), browser type, the pages you visit and how you reached the site.

Cookies, analytics and ads

This site uses:

  • Google Tag Manager. A Google tool that loads the other tracking tools on this site.
  • Google Ads measurement. I run ads on Google. This tells me when someone who clicked one of my ads later books a session or sends a message, so I know if the ad is working. Google uses cookies for this.
  • Google Analytics. It shows me how many people visit and which pages they read.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, including cookies not needed for the site to work. You can control how Google uses your data for ads at adssettings.google.com.

I do not sell or share your data

I do not sell or share your data, except with the tools listed below. I need them to run this site, book and run sessions, and take payments.

  • Calendly: bookings.
  • Zoom (a US company): session calls and cloud recordings.
  • WhatsApp (Meta): session calls and chat.
  • Social Chat WhatsApp widget: the chat button on this site. It opens WhatsApp when you click it.
  • Contact Form 7: the contact form on this site. It sends your message to my email.
  • Razorpay: payments and refunds.
  • Google (Tag Manager, Ads, Analytics): measuring visits and ads.
  • Cloudflare: protects the site and makes it load faster. It sees your IP address.
  • Wordfence: a security tool. It logs IP addresses to block attacks.
  • Akismet (Automattic): checks form messages for spam. It sees the message, name, email and IP address.
  • LiteSpeed Cache: stores copies of pages so they load faster. It does not collect personal data about you.
  • Hostinger: hosts this website. The site’s data is stored on their servers.

Each of them has its own privacy policy. Some of them store data outside India.

I will also share information if the law requires it, for example if a court or a government authority asks for it.

Why I use your information

  • To book, run and follow up on your session.
  • To reply to your messages.
  • To take payment and to give refunds.
  • To keep proper accounts, as tax law requires.
  • To keep the site safe from spam and attacks.
  • To understand which pages and ads are working, so I can improve them.

How long I keep it

  • Booking, payment and refund records: as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.
  • Messages and contact form entries: 2 years, then deleted.
  • Session recordings: deleted automatically within about a month, as explained above.
  • Security logs: these are cleared automatically by the tools that create them.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

  • Ask what personal data I hold about you.
  • Ask me to correct it or update it.
  • Ask me to delete it, unless the law says I must keep it.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time. This does not undo anything done before you withdrew it.
  • Name another person to act for you if you die or cannot act yourself.
  • Raise a complaint with me, and if you are not happy with my answer, with the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, write to me at [email protected]. I may ask you to confirm who you are before I act.

Children

My sessions are for adults. A person under 18 can only have a session if a parent or guardian books it.

Keeping your data safe

I use secure (HTTPS) connections, security tools and strong passwords. No system online is 100% safe, but I take reasonable care and I limit who can see your data.
